Coaching partner Phill Young has put together this plan tailored for runners with a half-marathon base. It combines structured training techniques—like endurance runs, tempo sessions, and hill work — with practical tips to build strength and prevent injuries. Designed to challenge and empower, this plan will guide you to your Blue, Red, or Black finisher grade.
The plan has three phases to build your running fitness, starting with a focus on improving your vo2max with interval training, moving into a lactate threshold phase focusing on tempo and steady state running to get you used to running on slightly fatigued legs and then into an endurance phase to get you ready for the time on feet and distance you will be completing at the event.
